Sneak Peek at What's Coming Soon!

# šŸŽ¶ šŸŽµ It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like... The Holidays! šŸŽ„ā„ļøā˜ƒļø

Hey there, friends!

As I mentioned in a previous post, I'm excited to bring back Advent Calendars this year! They were such a hit last year that they sold out in just a few weeks. I received so many lovely emails from fellow knitters thanking me for the beautiful goodies inside, and guess what? No negative feedback at all! How great is that?

So, thanks to all your enthusiasm, you can expect to see these calendars in the shop in the next few weeks. Stay tuned!

Now, while last year's project bags were gorgeous (if I do say so myself), I wanted to up my game this year with a fresh design.

Last weekend, I got busy in my sewing room, digging through my stash for fabric and whipping up a new prototype for a bag. This bag is sturdy and roomy enough to hold medium to large projectsā€”think a 2-3 skeins shawl, or even a small sweater project.

*And drumroll, please...*

Here it is! (Ta-da!):

*Note: The fabric you see here is a sample only, so it won't be the final project bag you'll find included in the advent calendar. It uses a Japanese cotton I bought at a quilt show pre-pandemic, so it might be tough to find now. Plus, itā€™s moreĀ fall/autumn than wintery, and I really want the bags to feel wintery!*

Iā€™ve spent most of the week fabric shopping (yay!), and Iā€™m on the hunt for some fun wintery and outdoorsy prints. I canā€™t wait to share them with you once they arrive!

The holiday project bags in the large Advent calendars will feature:

- A beautifully selected exterior fabric in either 100% cotton or printed denim
- A sturdy canvas bottom that matches the main fabric color
- A complementary, cute lining fabric
- 2 large pockets on each side of the lining
- 2 sturdy drawstrings
- 1 practical handle (1" wideā€”my prototype one wasĀ a bit too narrow for my taste)

Final measurements for this project bag: Approximately 10" high x 12" wide x 4" deep.

I gotta admit that I love the roomy pockets! Theyā€™re sewn on both sides, providing tons of space for all your notionsā€”stitch markers, tape measures, small scissors, and everything youā€™ll unwrap in the advent calendar!

And hereā€™s a sneak peek of last year's advent calendar. Each day is clearly marked, and every package is wrapped in different paper, making each unboxing feel like a mini celebration! This year's calendar will be a 12-day adventure (instead of 24) because I want to keep it budget-friendly for you all.

By streamlining to 12 surprises, I can keep the price down and ensure each surprise is worth unwrapping!

Iā€™m planning to release a limited number of these (I sew all the bags myself, after all), so be sure to order yours as soon as I open the listing in a few weeks. The Advents will ship at the end of November.

I canā€™t wait to start fulfilling these advents next month. The big question is: will one of these be yours?

Happy knitting! šŸŽ‰
